Marketing Analyst - Export & Special Cargo - New Jersey

Role Summary:

Reports to Supervisor of Export OTI Marketing. Responsible for front-line execution of the export marketing and strategies for international shipments from the United States & Canada through pricing activity, regional target monitoring, customer performance evaluation, and service contract maintenance for freight forwarders and non-vessel operating common carriers (NVOCC)

Additional Responsibilities:

• Evaluates pricing opportunities provided by front-line sales for freight forwarders & NVOCCs with goal to maximize vessel utilization
• Monitor, measure, and take corrective action for the assigned region's account performance; this requires communication of corrective action to the NA regional sales staff when necessary, including monitoring and proactively addressing poor customer results
• Direct regional sales teams in creation and execution of promotional cargo opportunities to meet business plan
• Assist in administration of guideline rates in coordination with North America Marketing Management
• Provides pricing guidance for oversized special project cargo moving in flat racks and open tops
• Negotiate and maintain ONE Export service contracts
• Provide assistance to customer service, documentation, and operations teams for interpretation of tariffs and service contracts/rate agreements
• Operational support and facilitation; provide support and assistance for service recovery evaluation and approval, perform exception management to established SOPs
• Produce, maintain, and analyze departmental reports and statistics
• Monitor and act to eliminate negative margin cargo

    • Proficiency in MS applications Excel and Word, Salesforce and Power BI
    • Advanced knowledge of pivot tables, and formulas in MS Excel
    • Strong business acumen
      
      Required Minimum Years Experience:
      
      2+ years of industry experience and/or 1+ function-related experience preferred.
      
      Required Minimum Education:
      
      Bachelor's Degree preferred
