Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled *Certified Sterile Processing Technician *to join our healthcare team at *one of Long Island's top university healthcare systems* at their location in the *Stony Brook, NY. Pay for this Sterile Processing Technician role is $29-$32/hour!* The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in performing tasks related to cleaning, sterilization, maintenance, repair, storage, inventory, and delivery of instrumentation, medical supplies and equipment to an ambulatory surgery center.

_*Schedule:*_

_*Full-time, Monday-Friday*_

_*11:00am-7:30pm OR 10:00am-6:30pm *_

_Stipends/Travel Packages available for Travel Candidates. Referral bonus of $500 available for candidates referred who work 100 hours or more._

*Certified Sterile Processing Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*
* Cleans, assembles, performs minor repairs and wraps trays of surgical instruments, equipment and specialty supplies for sterilization.
* Disassembles, sorts, cleans, inspects and processes surgical instruments and equipment.
* Collects reusable items from, and dispenses supplies to points of use.
* Maintains, stores, and inventories surgical supplies.
* Operates ultrasonic and utility washers and performs specified daily maintenance tasks on the equipment.
* Operates sterilization equipment and performs specified daily maintenance tasks.
* Performs record keeping duties of the sterilization process for Joint Commission requirements.

*Certified Sterile Processing Technician Requirements*:
* *Certified Sterile Processing Technician in NY State*
* Experience working with CensiTrac System
* Experience working in decontamination, assembly and sterilization in the Central Sterile Department.
