We are seeking an experienced industry professional to join our best-in-class bridge lending platform and meaningfully contribute to its on-going effort to expand and scale its presence and execution in a highly competitive lending landscape. As a Managing Director on the MF Bridge Lending Sales Desk, based in New York or another regional Greystone-Monticello office, this individual will report to the Head of the MF Bridge Loan Sales Desk within the Portfolio Lending Group (PLG). The PLG portfolio consists of over $4 billion of multifamily and seniors/healthcare loans, principally focused on transitional financing provided with a view towards exit via permanent financing provided by Greystone via its Fannie, Freddie, FHA lending programs as well as its CMBS, Structured Finance and other long-term financing solutions. The primary responsibilities and qualifications include:

  • Serve as a primary, internal-facing entry point and process for all prospective bridge lending opportunities generated from the Greystone-Monticello originator network
  • Senior member of a team of professionals tasked with screening multifamily bridge loan candidates
  • Manage loans through the sizing, quote and application process to ensure a positive experience and maintain/comply with the policies and appetites of the bridge business
  • Transition loans to underwriting, credit and closing support teams for closing/execution
  • Collaborate with loan originators, underwriters, credit, legal, and accounting departments to execute on defined lending strategies
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and opportunities and inform colleagues and senior management
  • Participate in internal credit approval committee process
  • Communicate with internal origination team on latest bridge lending trends related to lending appetite and/or credit parameters
  • Understand the competitive lending landscape and participate in program criteria adjustments and updates
  • Participate in external client marketing efforts
  • Represent Greystone and PLG at industry conferences and events Job Requirements:
    • 5+ years of experience as a member of a portfolio lending team on either the origination or underwriting portion of the business
    • Track record with and knowledge of the bridge lending marketplace
    • Detail oriented with strong organization/project management skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • An ability to exercise intellectual honesty when presenting information
    • Ability to problem-solve and exercise independent judgement while displaying high degree of initiative, accuracy, and integrity
    • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize projects, complete multiple tasks on schedule
