Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM zHW Brand Sales Partner Specialists (BSPS) are responsible for
assessing, enabling, and building IBM partner's sales capabilities
to support customer engagements. The BSPS is responsible for
Business Development with their assigned business partners to drive
sales & opportunity identification for zHW Systems, and is
responsible for achieving the revenue target for their aligned
partners. It is imperative that the BSPS deeply understand what the
partner is trying to achieve and develop a bespoke strategy to best
support those goals.We are hiring a role to cover one of the
largest distributors in North America. The BSPS will help manage
pipeline development and the progression of deals, build detailed
partner plans, and align the partner's go-to-market approach with
IBM's growth strategy.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with all levels
across the organization and equally comfortable dealing at
technical and management/executive levels
- Outward enthusiasm, client-focus, personal dedication, passion
for the business, and drive to achieve
- Apply an understanding of the IBM Systems strategy, industry
trends, key industry players, and competitors to architect and
deliver solutions that address client needs
- Ability to understand business problems and provide guidance to
Business Partners on strategies which will produce winning
solutions that result in client business value
- Experience with enabling partners and distributors around IBM
strategic plays and earning trusted advisor status with
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 5 years of successful Z platform selling experience,
(preferably Z Systems account experience)
- Minimum 5 years Successful Selling Experience to IT Executives
and Line of Business executives
- Preferred experience in the Public Market

This position is eligible for participation in an IBM sales
incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on
performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the
