Blueberry Hospitality, a new hotel management company based in NYC, is seeking a spirited Reservations Sales Agent to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting hotel guests with reservation inquiries for a small collection of independent boutique hotels in the New York City market. Overview:


The Reservations Sales Agent is responsible for handling reservations, inquiries, and cancellations in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner, and quoting available rates to maximize room revenue.



Responsibilities:


-Answer all incoming calls promptly, in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
-Assist guests with booking and updating reservations, while focusing on maximizing room revenue and average rate
-Maintain knowledge of hotel services in order to best sell the hotel
-Daily audit all incoming reservations booked the day before
-Audit and process travel agency commissions
-Assist with answering emails from Reservations email inbox
-Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation
-Enter reservations into the computer according to standard operating procedures.
-Communicate and work closely with the Sales Department concerning group bookings.
-Handle all special reservations, including VIP + Celebrity reservations, ownership bookings, packages, and discounts
-Post deposits, cancellation and no-show revenue daily, if required

Qualifications:


- Education: High School Diploma required, College preferred
-Previous Customer Service experience required, Hotel experience an asset
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment amongst a large diverse work force.
-Use of Microsoft Word/Excel/ Outlook. Opera PMS + SynXis CRS experience is ideal.
-To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

-Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, holiday and nights.
