Job Description Join the Manhattan Psychiatric Center Direct
Care Team! Manhattan Psychiatric Center (MPC) has immediate
full-time job opportunities for Direct Care Staff to work as Mental
Health Therapy Aides (MHTA) Spanish Language. Previous psychiatric
experience is not required. All shifts available - Day Shift 7:30
AM – 4:00 PM, Evening Shift 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, and Night Shift
11:30 PM – 8:00 AM. Pass days would be during the week. Direct Care
Staff/MHTAs at MPC are an integral part of a multidisciplinary
treatment team that helps to support patient health and safety by
teaching patients daily living skills and promoting acceptable
behaviors and verbal skills. Spanish proficiency is required for
this position. Direct Care Staff/MHTA at MPC, help support hope and
recovery by providing direct care, including: Supporting patient
health and safety Assisting individuals with personal care tasks
Teaching individuals’ daily life skills like personal hygiene and
nutrition Accompanying individuals to treatment, recreational
activities, and appointments Observing individuals' responses to
treatment and documenting observations. Attending treatment team
meetings and sharing observations on progress toward recovery goals
Assisting in crisis and emergencies to protect the welfare of

or High School Equivalency Diploma. The selected candidate will be
tested for proficiency in Spanish and must pass Level 3 proficiency
to be considered for appointment. Proficiency must be at a level
that will assure your ability to satisfactorily perform the duties
